About Me
Cinematographer. Filmmaker. Storyteller.
I’m Kieran Doherty, a filmmaker, videographer and editor based in the West Midlands, with a passion for telling stories that feel human, engaging and worth watching.
Over the past few years, I’ve worked across documentary, branded content, live campaigns and corporate film, with projects connected to BBC Children in Need, Red Nose Day, Global Citizen, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. My work has taken me from small, personal stories to large-scale international campaigns, but the part I enjoy most has always been finding the story at the heart of a project.
In 2026, I co-created While We Sing Together, an independent documentary telling the story of Coventry City FC’s fall and rise through the experiences of the supporters who lived through it. Made independently, the film went on to reach thousands of viewers organically and attracted coverage across BBC television, radio and online, as well as other national and local media.
I enjoy being involved throughout the filmmaking process, from developing an initial idea and interviewing contributors through to shooting, editing and delivering the finished film. I’m particularly interested in documentary and factual storytelling, and I’m always looking for stories, people and subjects that can become something memorable on screen.
Ultimately, I want to make films that people actually want to sit down and watch.
